BESPOKE & UNUSUAL PROJECTS
Over the years we have been commissioned to do many strange and outside of the box projects with antique fireplaces and ranges and even some modern twists. Here are a few of our favourite examples.
ELECTRICAL COOKING RANGE CONVERSION
This Was one of our most unusual commissions. We took a beautiful existing stock range and turned it into a fully working electrical kitchen appliance. Both the ovens are fan assisted and electric. The existing cast tops where refitted with 2 ring and 5 ring induction tops with a central control panel for the ovens. We then finished off the top of the range with an extractor and lights. The range was featured in Period Living in 2017. This conversion can only be done on certain ranges with the correct proportions to accommodate the electrical appliances.
OUTDOOR FIREPLACE COLLAPSED GABLE END
This fantastic feature garden piece is designed to look like the collapsed gable end of an old stone house. The walls are made of solid York stone and the stone effect surround in the middle is made of concrete however this could also be commissioned in stone. We added the large stone top to the right to use a worktop when entertaining and act as a log store underneath. This style of fire would be a great edition to any large garden or beside a pool.
Any antique fireplaces basket grate can be used.
FROM LINCOLN TO ENNISKILLEN
This huge Kitchen Range was initially removed from the old kitchens at Lincoln Cathedral during a refurbishment (it was not original to the kitchens).
We then restored the range fully replacing the old rotten tin ovens with stainless steel ones for practicality as the trust wanted to use it for cooking. The range was then re-situated by us into the National Trust property Castle Coole near Enniskilin in Northern Ireland.
We Love to work with antique fireplaces and kitchen ranges in unusual ways and with modern integration so if you have an idea that you would like to explore with us please feel free to get in touch.
